Just a series of shots of Father and Son playing together on the bed wearing the same T-Shirt that I originally bought for them for National Day :)

Kendrick sits by himself to cut hair
We have not cut Kendrick's hair in almost 2 months now, so finally we had the time to bring him to Dear's Auntie's shop for a hair cut. This time, she tries letting Kendrick sit by himself on the chair without us carrying him. To our surprise, Kendrick performs really well! He did not move or cry but just sat there looking very serious. Ha ha... Of course treats in the form of biscuits helped too. Check out the photos....
At home before going for the hair cut. Kendrick plays with his new Lego Duplo toys
Kendrick at 19 months
It's been a while since I updated about Kendrick. He's still very active and fun to play with at this stage. In terms of speech and development, I must say that Kendrick has shown another level of growth. He can say more words which have more syllables like 'butterfly', 'Harry Potter', 'ladybird', 'McDonald', and also put together very simple sentences like "Mummy read book", "Papa sit here", "Papa drive to Ikea", "Happy Birthday to you", "Good night Pooh Bear", "Press this", etc. He can also fill in the blanks to some songs like London Bridge is Falling Down, Papa Bu Zai Jia, You are my Sunshine, Wheels on the Bus, Incy Wincy Spider, and even this medley of songs that Dear learnt from his Scouts days and have been singing to him since Kendrick was a baby!
Kendrick also recognises almost all the alphabets and knows 1 - 10 pretty well. Trying to teach him colours now which he seems to be picking up slowly and also reciting the day of the week. We also notice something quite interesting in the way Kendrick pictures things. He is actually able to realise that the letter 'M' when we turn it upside down would be the letter 'W'. This is something we did not teach him yet he realised it himself. Sometimes in other pictures, he would also turn things around just to see the object in something else familiar that he knows instead. Interesting how the brains of these kids work! :) He also learnt to play with his first Lego duplo toys that Dear bought him recently. At first Kendrick did not know how to piece the Lego pieces together, but we showed him once and he eventually learnt it himself by sitting down and patiently playing on his own. Thought that was really cute to see him play quietly and happily for sometime just building and removing the Lego pieces.

National Day and dressed up in red and white!
Kendrick has been doodling a lot on his drawing board. He is able to have better control of the pen now and sometimes draws lines or no. 1 or circular looking objects. And each time we ask him what he has drawn, he will tell us something that he knows

Playing and Laughing
Kendrick was in a really tickled mood last Saturday night. Usually before he sleeps, he will have a lot to 'talk' and 'yak' about before he finally settles down in bed. This particular Saturday night, he was playing with his Pooh Bear stuffed toy and as I played with him in a silly manner, he got really tickled and kept laughing and playing with me. Couldn't resist uploading some of these laughing shots as they really remind me of how innocent and carefree children are. When they play they really play and laugh out loud. These photos of you will light my day when I look back at them :)
Kendrick at Vivocity
We brought Kendrick out to Vivocity for some shopping and took the chance to let him play for a while at the children's play area. At this stage, Kendrick loves playing on slides, so he was really happy whenever he had the chance to slide down any slide :) Here are some shots at him playing...
Kendrick started to climb through these continuous barrels by himself without at help and we were quite surprised to see him do so confidently!
